Mental Tension

My artistic vision for the show would be the maze’s healing power and meditative nature. Personally, dealing with mental health issues has always been difficult for me. Creating these mazes helps me to slow down, breathe, let go of the past, and be here in the present moment. Thematically speaking, I wish to create a dualistic environment of wonder and surprise mixed with thoughtful reflection and introspection. Through my pieces, I want to create an environment where people can ask big philosophical questions with works like “We Don’t Exist.” or have a topical discussion about culture with “Anatomy of a Person.” For the single-line mazes, I would like people to participate, follow along with their eyes, or trace along with their fingers. I enjoy creating fun, interactive environments, after all, it is a show! I hope people see in themselves a sense of peace, joy, and love…
